Yono Clip from Shark Tank Reviewed

Germs and bacteria are perhaps that deadliest accessories we tend to carry around with us everyday of the week. We carry them around in our shoes to various other places, therefore infecting floors irrespective of what the floor is made up of. Also, once we throw our bags onto the floor, they also come in contact with the germs.

Most of us place our bags on the floor in airport terminals, gyms, rails, busses, classrooms, workplaces, restrooms, and restaurants. What’s worse, we then also take these bags home and toss them onto our kitchen tops or sofas. The same goes for laptop cases, gym bags, purses and other kinds of bags. Simply put, bags have become a means for transporting germs around and this is where Yono steps in.

While visiting his gym, Bob Mackey couldn’t help but notice how bags were sprawled around the floor. This is where he was inspired to come up with the Yono Clip. He started sketching ideas on napkins and sent his makeshift blueprints to his engineer friend. Once he had designed a suitable design, he posted his creation on Facebook to see how people reacted to his idea of a portable hook that people could carry along with them and hang their belongings wherever they needed to.

Bob and his business partner, Michael Green then took their creation to the Shark Tank while asking the Sharks for a $150,000 investment in exchange for a 15% stake in their company. The Sharks didn’t need much convincing when they found that the Yono Clip was able to reach its crowdfunding goal of $10,000 in just 24-hours.

After some scrutiny, the two entrepreneurs settled for Daymond John’s offer to invest the amount they asked for in exchange for a higher, 30% stake in their company. With that said, wouldn’t you like to find out whether the Yono Clip is worth a buy? If so, we’d like to keep you scrolling through to our Yono Clip review.

Our Review of Yono Clip

The Yono Clip was designed based on a simple idea but to counter a problem faced by virtually everyone. This clip is designed to hang your belongings (mosty jackets and bags) so that you can keep them off those dirty floors in public places. Even if it seemed like a random idea before, most people would agree that it is really useful during the pandemic.

Besides the risk of contracting the virus, most people prefer to keep their belongings clean and leaving things on the floor, especially outdoors, can make them very dirty. Well, the Yono Clip can help solve this problem since they can be fixed practically anywhere.

Currently, these Yono Clps are being sold in 6 different colors, including green, pink, blue, red, white, and black. Each clip is relatively cheap considering the fact that most buyers will only have to buy it once in their lifetime.

According to their website, the Yono Clips have been designed to be able to withstand a total weight of 15 pounds. This makes them suitable for many other belongings other than bags. We tried to use them to hang backpacks, water bottles, coats, gym bags, purses, and so much more and they never failed to impress.

All you need to do is stick the Yono Clip over a surface and then pull a lever out of the surface to hang your belongings from. You will find that the clip easily sticks onto most surfaces and doesn’t leave any residue or trace of sticky substances behind once they are removed.

It isn’t all that difficult to understand how Yono Clips work and they solve most of our germaphobe problems at the gym, at the office, at school, or anywhere else other than our home.

Pros

  • Very easy to use
  • The Yono Clips can stick onto any surface
  • They are quite affordable considering the fact that you need to buy only one
  • Can withstand a maximum weight of 15 pounds
  • We have a number of colors to choose from, perhaps to match our belongings

Cons

  • Some people are of the opinion that their belongings can be hung off other objects such as the back of a chair.

Who is Yono Clip For?

Yono Clip is the perfect solution for anyone who has a problem with leaving their belongings on the ground or are worried about making things dirty. Also, people of every age bracket can benefit from this product, whether they’re in school or at work, or even at church on a Sunday.

Are There Any Alternatives?

The Yono Clip has many generic alternatives in the market but none of them even come close to offering an all-in-one solution. Most of these alternatives are intended for specific belongings or may not have the same weight capacity. In contrast, the Yono Clip can be used for a long list of belongings and can easily stick onto any surface.

Our Final Thoughts

Bob Mackey and Michael Green stumbled onto a couple of backpacks on the floor in their local gym and instantly had an idea for a solution to not only their problem, but a problem faced by countless others. They quickly designed a prototype and introduced it to the world via Facebook.

To their surprise, people were interested in their creation and they weren’t the only ones who thought they needed to hang their belongings when they stepped out of their home. Their creation was so successful that it managed to attract their target investment within 24-hours on Kickstarter and ABC’s Shark Tank.

Would you agree that you need a Yono Clip lying around in your purse or car whenever you step out? If so, we highly recommend that you give this product a try. On the other hand, if you’re accustomed to using the back of your chair and other creative methods of hanging your belongings, we still recommend that you try out the Yono Clip at least once before totally rejecting the idea.
